At the time this blogpost was being typed... Singapore has 4 major transit bus operators in the republic, namely SBS Transit, SMRT Buses, Tower Transit Singapore and Go Ahead Singapore.

Many Singaporeans choose bus services as their primary public transport option because it saves money, reduces road congestion and the effectiveness of the republic's land public transport system.

At the time this blogpost was being typed... Southeast Asia region there are 4 cities that have MRT transportation network system namely Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok & Jakarta.

As the most modern urbanization area in the Southeast Asian region... in the opinion of the author of this blog... the Singapore MRT transport network system (Singapore MRT) is very suitable to accommodate the total population of the republic of Singapore which is a city-state.

At the time this blogpost was being typed... this Singapore MRT line connects many major areas in the country.

The author of this blog hopes that the Singapore MRT (Singapore MRT) will continue to thrive and grow rapidly.

At the time this blogpost was being typed... there were rumors stating that the Malaysian and Singaporean governments wanted to reopen the door to negotiate to resume high-speed rail (HSR) projects connecting Kuala Lumpur - Singapore through several stations.

Among the HSR stop stations is the Singapore station which is likely to be located in the Jurong area.

The existence of HSR in several countries such as Japan, South Korea, China and France have proven that the existence of HSR does play an important role in influencing the economic impact on the country because it can connect the population in large and small urban areas economically and socially.

There are several countries that are interested in building this HSR line such as India and Indonesia in their countries. Therefore... Malaysia should not be left behind in the current economic development.

If this HSR project can impact economic development to a large country... imagine what the impact will be on a small country like Singapore.

At the time this blogpost was being typed... the foreign exchange rate for each SGD1 (1 Singapore Dollar) is equivalent to MYR3 (3 Malaysian Ringgit). It is not impossible that one day there will be Singaporeans who frequently commute to buy daily necessities or go for a walk every day to Kuala Lumpur... or there may also be Malaysians who live in the Klang Valley but commute to Singapore every day using this high speed train (HSR) service.

Anyway... the author of this blog hopes this thing will become real one day in the future.

At the time this blogpost was being typed... The Republic of Singapore have dozens of public bus terminals across the country. The bus terminal located in the central business district (CBD) is the Shenton Way Bus Terminal.

Most Singaporeans use public transport systems such as buses because the price of cars in Singapore is the highest in the world due to tax factors imposed by the Singapore government to encourage Singaporeans to use public transport, reduce traffic congestion and preserve the environment in this city and industrial country.

Singapore Changi International Airport is an international airport located in the Changi area of Singapore.

This international airport is the busiest international airport in the Southeast Asian region. This international airport first opened and operated officially in 1981. Before this international airport opened and operated... Singapore Paya Lebar International Airport was the republic's official international airport... before that it was Singapore Kallang International Airport and Singapore Seletar International Airport.

Singapore Paya Lebar International Airport and Singapore Kallang International Airport are currently the training base for the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) flight while Singapore International Airport or now known as Seletar Airport currently operates aircraft flights. light to some small airports such as Subang, Pangkor & Tioman.

Hopefully one day in the future... this international airport will continue to thrive and grow rapidly.

Within the SIJORI international ecumenopolitan urbanization area (Singapore, Johor, Riau & Riau Islands)... there is a busy international port in the Southeast Asian region, namely the Port of Singapore.

The Port of Singapore is located in the Pasir Panjang area of Singapore.

The author of this blog hopes that this port can grow faster and equipped with the latest modern features so that this port can remain competitive with international ports in the world.

In a space of six months, there have been two proposals to build a mega connection between Indonesia and Malaysia by the Malaysian side. The response from Indonesia for both projects is lukewarm at best.

First, it was the proposal to build a Malacca-Dumai bridge by the Malacca state government made last September. It is obvious Indonesia is not that keen on this project costing RM44.3 billion (US$13.306 billion). Jakarta said the idea was appealing, but the project was not a priority. Indonesia was then and still is grappling with a slowing economy. That is as good as a no from Indonesia. The bridge idea is not new.

In 1996, then Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had proposed that such a bridge be built. The closest point between the two countries along the straits was between Malacca and Dumai. Due to the Asian financial crisis, the project was shelved.
