The Republic of Singapore is a city-state located within the Southeast Asian region. According to history... Singapore had been under the jurisdiction of the state of Johor before it went away to the British. Singapore joined the Federation of Malaysia and was eventually released by the Federal Government of Malaysia. Depending on the geographical size... Singapore can be regarded as unchanging as one of the districts located in the state of Johor. Singapore's population can be compared to one of the states located in the Federal of Malaysia. However... Singapore's economic strength can be compared to half the economic strength of the Federal of Malaysia.
So... technically... the Republic of Singapore has no states or provinces under its administration. The second stage administration after the administration of the country is the district governed by the Community Development Council (CDC) headed by a Mayor.
